Tools
After three tax seasons of importing from Bill.com, we’re now a part of Bill.com’s App Center. You can pull information directly from Bill.com.
In Bill.com, go to the App Center. The App Center can be found under the settings menu. Under “Taxes,” click on Tax1099.com. Review the information, and click Connect. This will sync Bill.com vendor information to Tax1099.com.
The app will direct you to Tax1099.com. If you already have a Tax1099.com account, use your username and password to login. If you don’t have an account, you can register for one. It’s free to make an account.
After logging in to Tax1099.com, you will see a list of payers from Bill.com in a drop down list. Select your company and the tax year. Tax1099.com makes an API call to Bill.com to retrieve the information. The import may take a minute or two.
You will see a popup asking if you want to apply filters. If you select to turn filters off, all payments will be imported to Tax1099.com. These payments will come over regardless of whether you mapped them to the chart of accounts or not. If you select to turn filters on, only payments that you mapped in the chart of accounts will come over.
Next to the company’s name, you’ll see a red dot. Click to add the company’s EIN. The EIN does not import with the sync. Look for other vendors who may have red dots next to their names. Click on the flag column to filter the import grid by the red dots. You can fix errors directly in Tax1099.com, or you can return to Bill.com to fix the issues. If you fix the issues in Bill.com, you’ll need to re-import.
You can bulk-edit information within Tax1099.com. The “Apply to Selected” action allows you to make the same edit to multiple vendors. This gives you more control over the review process for your forms.
As you make changes, the system saves the updated data. If you exit during the process, you can return to the most recently saved data. Be advised: you shouldn’t start the process with a second company until you are done with the first. The system only stores data for one company at a time.
You can select the scheduled date for your forms as you’re submitting and paying for the e-file. We automatically schedule forms to e-file with the IRS on the deadline date, March 31st. This gives you time to make changes to your forms before they are sent to the IRS. After the scheduled date, any changes will have to be made on a corrected form.
Recipient form delivery is also available through Tax1099.com. You can request USPS mail service, select our PDF to e-mail service, or use our portal for E-delivery. The portal includes the collection of opt-in status for recipients. This meets the requirements outlined in IRS Publication 1179.
Integrate your Bill.com vendor data with Tax1099.com. Take advantage of a best-in-class e-filing solution.
