Integrate Zoho Books and Tax1099.com

We are proud to integrate with Zoho Books this tax season. Transporting your data into our system is simple. Here’s how you can import:

In Zoho Books

In Zoho Books, go to Reports > Taxes > 1099 Report. You can set new rules for the current tax year. If you have rules from a prior year, you can apply those rules. When you create a rule, you associate an Expense Account with a Box Category on the 1099-MISC form. Here’s an example of rules you might set:

Click “Generate Report,” and you’ll see your results below the rules. It’s a good idea to export the report, so you can check the integration.

In Tax1099.com

After you’ve set the rules in Zoho Books, log in to Tax1099.com. Go to the Imports tab, and click Zoho Books. Select the appropriate tax year and enter your Zoho login credentials. If you get a message stating “Data or amount not present for year 2015,” go back to Zoho Books and ensure rules are set up for that year.

In Tax1099.com, look for vendors who may have red dots next to their names. Click on “flag” at the top of the table to filter vendors with red dots. These vendors may have data formatting issues. You can fix these in Tax1099.com or return to Zoho Books. If you edit in Zoho Books, re-import the data. Download the error list before fixing for reference.

Many edits can be made from within Tax1099.com. You can also bulk edit using the “Apply to Selected” option to change box categories for multiple vendors at once.

As you make changes, the system auto-saves. If you exit during the process, you can return to the last auto-save. Make sure to process one company to completion, as the system stores data for only one company at a time.

E-file Forms

We schedule all forms to e-file with the IRS on the deadline date, March 31. This gives you time to make edits. After submission, you can edit until the scheduled date. If the deadline has passed, a corrected form must be filed.

Vendor form delivery is also available. We offer e-delivery via email or secure portal. Our portal tracks vendor opt-in status, required under IRS Publication 1179. You may also request USPS mail service or download forms to print and mail yourself.
