Home » Form 941 Mailing Address – Where To Mail Form 941 For Quarterly Report?
A quick brief on Form 941, state-wise mailing addresses for the quarter + tips to send your 941 forms faster.
When businesses roll out payments to employees, they have to withhold certain federal taxes from the incomes paid. This is called tax withholding. Form 941 requires employers to report the withheld amount in addition to reporting the employer’s share of Social Security or Medicare tax.
If you’re an employer and you have completed your tax information reporting with Form 941, your next steps would be to mail the IRS Form 941 or eFile the forms online.
Considering the safety of taxpayers in light of the virus outbreak and with the intent to promote electronic filing, the IRS is advising filers to choose eFiling instead of paper filing. The IRS even reduced the threshold for paper filing for certain forms, indicating that the threshold will be narrowed further with each tax year.
For now, let’s focus on Form 941 and the various ways to file the federal form efficiently and safely.

So, let’s get to it.
Form 941 is an IRS information return. It is used to report income taxes, Social Security tax, or Medicare tax withheld from employees’ pay. If you’re an employer and you’ve withheld the above taxes from your employee’s pay, then you probably need to file Form 941 for every quarter.
The IRS states that taxpayers need to submit before Form 941 due date by the end of every quarter as follows.
The IRS requires employers to file Form 941 before or by the due date to prevent late filing penalty assessments. The penalty assessments vary in accordance with the filing delay. The longer you put off your Form 941 filing, the more penalties + interest your forms accrue.
Note: The IRS imposes a standard 5% of the unpaid tax amount as a penalty for delayed Form 941 filing. The following is an overview of the late filing penalty for Form 941 excluding this standard figure, and only a representation of the penalty for unpaid taxes.
Here’s a state-wise mailing address table for easier Form 941 mailing.
