{"id":513,"date":"2020-11-05T07:30:42","date_gmt":"2020-11-05T07:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tax1099.com\/blog\/?p=513"},"modified":"2025-09-19T07:41:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T07:41:19","slug":"bill-com-integration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tax1099.com\/blog\/bill-com-integration\/","title":{"rendered":"Tax1099 Integrates With Bill.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tax1099.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tax1099.com<\/a> integrates with Bill.com so users can transfer their data without manually entering vendor and contractor&#8217;s payment information.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<h2>How to set up vendors and contractors<\/h2>\n<p>Once on your dashboard on <a href=\"https:\/\/help.bill.com\/direct\/s\/article\/115005438243\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bill.com<\/a>, follow these steps to set up your vendors and contractors<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Toggle to the left-hand side of the dashboard, and underneath \u2018Payables,\u2019 select \u2018Vendors\u2019\n<ul>\n<li>If you are adding new vendors for the first time:\n<ul>\n<li>Click the \u2018Add your first vendor\u2019 button<\/li>\n<li>Complete the \u2018Vendor Basics,\u2019 \u2018Vendor Address,\u2019 \u2018Vendor Bank Information,\u2019 and \u2018How Do You Want to Pay Your Vendor?\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Choose \u2018Auto-Pay Setup\u2019 by clicking the button in the top right corner of the box (this is optional)<\/li>\n<li>Continue to complete information in the \u2018Payment Information,\u2019 \u2018Contacts,\u2019 and \u2018Additional Information\u2019 boxes<\/li>\n<li>Select \u2018Add vendor &amp; send invite\u2019 in the top right corner of the screen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you are importing vendors:\n<ul>\n<li>Click hyperlink \u2018import your vendors\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Select from which entity you would like to import or export information<\/li>\n<li>Select the proper file<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Continue\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If you are adding vendors to a previously existing list, see the last step<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Your vendors will now be listed, and you can navigate the toolbar to access information under the \u2018Bills,\u2019 \u2018Payments,\u2019 \u2018Vendor Credits,\u2019 \u2018Contacts,\u2019 \u2018Details,\u2019 \u2018Documents,\u2019 and \u2018Notes\u2019 tabs<\/li>\n<li>To add more vendors, select \u2018Add vendor\u2019 in the top left corner of the screen and complete the needed information in the fields provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to pay contractors<\/h3>\n<p>To pay contractors in Bill.com, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On the left hand side of the screen, select \u2018Vendors\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Select which vendor you would like to pay from the list that appears on the left<\/li>\n<li>Select \u2018Pay Vendor\u2019 on the right side of the vendor\u2019s box<\/li>\n<li>Complete the \u2018Payment Details\u2019 and \u2018Payment Information,\u2019 and add information under the \u2018Add Bank Info\u2019 header if not done previously (to make \u2018Add Bank Info\u2019 text boxes appear, click the button in the upper right corner of the box)<\/li>\n<li>After information is complete, select \u2018Review and Pay\u2019 in the top right corner<\/li>\n<li>Review the payment information and complete the transaction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to get info from Bill.com to Tax1099<\/h3>\n<p>To sync data from Bill.com to Tax1099, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log into your Tax1099 account<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to left side menu &gt; click \u2018Import\u2019 &gt; \u2018Bill.com,\u2019 enter credentials then click \u2018Proceed\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Select your desired company and tax year and click \u2018Load Data\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Select \u2018New Import\u2019 (unless it is the first data entry of the year: skip this step)<\/li>\n<li>Each payer will need their EIN updated (edit using the box to the right of the payer name)<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u2018Download Error List\u2019 button to see the complete list of data entry errors<\/li>\n<li>Enter missing data into the red payer&#8217;s data entry forms by clicking on the payer name (for any payer you want to create a Tax1099 form for, their name must have a green dot next to it)<\/li>\n<li>Select \u2018Edit\u2019 in the payment row to change box numbers or amounts for individual vendors<\/li>\n<li>After all, edits are complete, you can do one of three things: export all the data to excel by clicking \u2018Export All,\u2019 add new items that may not have been included in Bill.com by clicking \u2018Add New Item\u2019 and selecting items you want to add or move forward by clicking \u2018Applicable Vendors\u2019<\/li>\n<li>After you\u2019ve selected the vendors you want, click \u2018Next\u2019 to view the form for any vendor (here you can download the export to Excel from this page if you have not previously)<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018Finalize\u2019 to enter the data into the system, then click \u2018Checkout\u2019 on the checkout screen<\/li>\n<li>On the Select Forms Page, click \u2018Schedule All Vendor E-File\u2019 to choose the date to send the information to the federal agency (you can delay the e-File to give yourself time to make adjustments if needed)<\/li>\n<li>You can select the delivery method, \u2018Email\u2019 or \u2018Mail,\u2019 to send copies to the recipients (if you want to print and mail the forms yourself, make no selection in these columns)<\/li>\n<li>TIN matching is available here to help prevent penalties for mismatched taxpayer ID and name combinations (state filings to non-combined federal-state filing states can also be chosen here, if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>You can view a preview copy, edit, or delete forms at this point<\/li>\n<li>Select the vendors you want to create forms for and click \u2018Next\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Once on the payment page, enter your payment information and click \u2018Pay Now\u2019 (we will send you a confirmation email and receipt for the payment)<\/li>\n<li>Email copies go into our queue to be sent as soon as possible, and mailed copies go out within 24 hours (you can check the status of the copies from the dashboard)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.tax1099.com\/#\/signup?ref=blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sign Up Now &amp;
