What is a W-2 Form ?

W-2 – Form W-2 is the most well-known tax form for most people. Anyone who has been an employee has received one, which encompasses most Americans. Officially, employees receive a W-2 if they:

  • Receive payment from which income, social security, or Medicare tax would have been withheld if the employee had made different withholding allowance elections on form W-4
  • Receive noncash payments of $600 or more

  • Filing W2 Form is as low as $.55 - $2.90 per form / per recipient

Who receives this form?

Every employer engaged in a trade or business who pays remuneration, including noncash payments of $600 or more for the year (all amounts if any income, social security, or Medicare tax was withheld) for services performed by an employee must file a Form W-2 for each employee (even if the employee is related to the employer) from whom:

  • Income, social security, or Medicare tax was withheld.
  • Income tax would have been withheld
