IRS Form 1099K is used to report merchant card and third-party network payments.
Example use: Payment settlement entitites (PSE's) use this form to report payments made in settlement of reportable payment transactions.

When would you need to file a 1099K?

  • If you are a Payment Settlement Entity (PSE), you must file Form 1099K for payments made in settling reportable payment transactions.
  • Under some conditions, a PSE must file Form 1099K for payments made outside of the U.S. to an offshore account
